Host an Event

Planning an amazing event for the social impact community?
Whether you’re hosting a workshop, panel, celebration, conference or fundraiser, hosting at HiVE can help make your event that much sweeter!

Event spaces are only available on weekends and after 5 pm on weekdays.

Kitchen & Lounge

Our Kitchen and Lounge area is available for $75 per hour

  • Maximum Capacity: 40 people
  • Minimum 3 hour booking required
  • Only available on weekends and after 5 pm on weekdays

Full Event Space

Our Full Event space is available for $100 per hour

  • Maximum Capacity: 120 people
  • Includes Kitchen & Lounge access
  • Projector & Screen available (included)
  • PA system and microphones ($30 extra)
  • Minimum 3 hour booking required
  • Mandatory $65 cleaning fee for events with alcohol over 100 people
  • Only available on weekends and after 5 pm on weekdays

Book a Meeting Room

Not a HiVE member (ahem, what are you waiting for?!) but need access to a meeting room?
We have three meeting rooms available for rent from 9 am – 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays.

Executive Meeting Room

$75 per hour

  • Seats up to 12 people (approx. 13′ x 20′)
  • T.V, whiteboards, and modular tables

Large Meeting Room

$55 per hour

  • Seats up to 12 people (approx. 13′ x 20′)
  • Screen, whiteboards, table wired with ethernet and power for up to 10 laptops

Medium Meeting Room

$45 per hour

  • Seats up to 8 people (approx. 10′ x 15′)
  • Whiteboard

Small Meeting Room

$35 per hour

  • Seats up to 6 people (approx. 9′ x 14′)
  • Whiteboard

* Extra $15 per hour for bookings on weekends and before 9 am or after 5 pm on weekdays; minimum booking time may also apply

Events Policies

  • Booking & Cancellation policy: A deposit equal to 50% of the total reservation is payable at time of booking, remainder is due by the date of your event. If the rental group needs to cancel, they must do as at least 14 days prior to the event, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.
  • Liquor License Policy: Events serving alcohol are required to obtain their own liquor license for the event and follow all other requirements outlined by BC’s liquor control and licensing branch.
  • Insurance Policy: Unless otherwise arranged with the Director of Social Impact, all events will need to have event insurance with minimum of $5 million in coverage, naming both Recollective Consulting Inc., and Hive Vancouver Society listed as Additional Insured Parties. We can refer you to a company where you can purchase coverage if you don’t already have it. Please provide a Certificate of Insurance at least 48 hours before your event.
  • HiVE Event Animator: all event fees include a mandatory HiVE Event Animator to oversee the event. However, the rental party is still responsible for set-up, take down and clean-up for their event. A cleaner must be arranged and paid for by any event with alcohol that also has over 100 people expected to attend.
  • Damage Deposit: a $100 refundable damage deposit is required for all events. A separate cheque may be held & returned upon completion of inspections. Damage deposit refunds will be issued within 7 days after the event.
